Customize form system messages
Use the Messages dialog for the button, hint, validation, and confirmation text offered by the current form.

Steps
- Open Design → More settings → Messages.
Review the system labels separately from question text and answer choices. - Review each field before editing. Use short button labels and specific validation text that explains how to correct an answer.
Use clear recovery instructions and test the corresponding invalid-answer states. - Choose Save to keep the changes, or Cancel to discard the dialog edits.
A confirmation message is separate from proof that the final response was saved. Verify completion in Results. - Preview normal navigation, required and invalid answers, and completion. Check every language used by the form.
Check before you rely on it
Do not replace a useful validation message with marketing text. A translated question does not automatically prove all system messages are translated.
If you need help
If wording is unchanged, reopen the dialog and check the saved field and the language used by the respondent link.
Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
