Steps

  1. Add Video from the question picker and explain what to record, why it is needed, and how it will be used.

  2. Open Question options and review Mark Optional and Recording → Maximum Duration (sec). Configure the offered duration control if needed.
Current video options from a synthetic development form. Review the controls offered for your selected question.
  3. Preview the respondent flow on the devices you intend to support. Test permission denial as well as an allowed recording.

  4. Use a harmless test recording and verify the saved attachment in Results before launch.

Check before you rely on it

Request camera or microphone access only when the respondent chooses to record. Offer an appropriate alternative where practical.

If you need help

A visible recorder is not proof that upload and final submission succeed. Test both.

Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
