Steps

  1. Identify whether the image is a background, logo, question reference, or answer choice.
Question media is separate from theme backgrounds and visual answer choices.
  2. Use a sharp source with sensible file size. Keep important details away from edges that may be cropped on narrow screens.
Question media illustrates the question. Image answer choices are configured separately.
  3. Add it through the appropriate media or theme control and inspect the offered crop or layout options.
Long labels wrap on a narrow screen. Shorten labels or split the task when the grid becomes difficult to read.
  4. Preview desktop and mobile, including a slower connection and browser zoom where practical.

Check before you rely on it

There is no single ideal pixel size for every placement. A logo and a full-screen background need different proportions.

If you need help

Do not enlarge a tiny image and expect lost detail to return. Replace it with a better source and keep key instructions as text.

Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
