Steps

  1. Select a question’s text or description and inspect the formatting controls offered by that field.
  2. Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between controls. Use @ in eligible text fields to open the recall picker.
Review the system labels separately from question text and answer choices.
  3. Preview line breaks, emphasis, links, and recalled values. Keep the core question understandable without decorative formatting.
  4. Test respondent keyboard navigation and required-answer validation separately from editor shortcuts.

Check before you rely on it

Do not assume a shortcut from an old editor or a Markdown sequence is supported in every field.

If you need help

If a shortcut changes the browser instead of the editor, use the visible control and report the browser and field involved.

Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
