Steps

  1. Write a short prompt and explain purpose, audience, and handling of recordings.
Example recording entry screen. Preview is a layout check; saved answers, attachments, and completion require separate tests.
  2. Add a Video question and set the offered duration and required-answer options.
Current video options from a synthetic development form. Review the controls offered for your selected question.
  3. Use synthetic media to test denied permission, an interrupted recording, a retry, and successful submission.
This is the recording entry screen. Recording, permission denial, playback, and saved attachments require separate tests.
  4. Check mobile playback and the saved response. Provide a fallback contact or alternative task when recording cannot work.

Check before you rely on it

A maximum duration and a minimum time spent on the question are separate controls.

If you need help

Browser support and upload reliability must be checked in the actual respondent flow, including embeds where used.

Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
