Steps

  1. Use a short, clear introduction and one main idea per question.
Create or edit a theme, save it, and verify its application in desktop and mobile preview.
  2. Choose a readable font and sufficient text contrast.
Choose a font that remains readable in the languages and screen sizes your form uses.
  3. Keep answer choices concise and aligned consistently.
Check that a narrow respondent view presents every choice and the intended multiple-answer controls.
  4. Use images only when they add useful context.
  5. Check mobile layout, long text, and validation messages.
  6. Preview the entire flow and remove unnecessary questions or decoration.

Check before you rely on it

Judge the form by whether a respondent can understand and finish it, not only by the first screen.

If you need help

A striking background can still make a form difficult to read. Check every question over the chosen background.

Contact support with the relevant screen, time, and a redacted description. Keep credentials and private respondent information out of screenshots.
